Looking for a bite to eat in SoHo? Here is a neighborhood gem. Each Wednesday we will post a Drawing Center food fav.
A staple for breakfast fare, Local Cafè boasts fresh baked goods, warming tea and coffee, and, as the name suggests, local ingredients. Covered in cheery green paint and an energetic scrawl of menu items, Local’s entrance is incredibly inviting. To make up for its tiny interior, the shop has claimed the parking space outside its doors as a similarly verdant deck area, perfect for people watching with friends as you enjoy a tailor made sandwich or flavorful oatmeal. If you’re lucky and they’re not all sold out, you can grab one of Local’s steam filled popovers, a personal favorite that sets their offerings apart from the standard coffee shop fare. The cafe has a cozy environment that easily makes you feel like part of the community. Check them out!
