English artist Peter Matthews’ tacitly links his drawing practice to the ocean. Creating work while standing in the shallow waters of the Pacific, Matthews uses a floating board as a drawing surface and represents what he sees as he looks into the open water. He was included in The Drawing Center’s exhibition Selections Spring 2010: Sea Marks in 2010. His work has also featured in exhibitions at the Laguna Art Museum in Laguna Beach, CA, and the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. #TheDrawingCenter #PeterMatthews
