Co-curators Lisa Sigal (left) and Nova Benway are showing The Drawing Center staff through Open Sessions 7 before tonight's opening. Open Sessions 7: Hibernating Plan is on view as of July 15. Evening opening is Thursday, July 14, 6-8pm. This is a group exhibition that considers drawing in relationship to the sense of suspended time inherent in planning. Featuring artists #ShereeHovsepian, #RafaelKelman, #ArnoldKemp, #ThessiaMachado, #SunMoqing, #SaraChangYan, and #TuguldurYondonjamts, the exhibition explores the notion of the “sketch” in relation to the instinct to hibernate, intuit, and mull over. Works will feature light, sound, drawing, sculpture, and moving image. #OpenSessions
