The Drawing Center will host an Albers Color Workshop led by Fritz Horstman, Artist Residency and Education Coordinator at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation on Thursday, May 12 [FREE, first come, first served, 6-8pm]. The Albers Color Workshop will explore the influence of Josef Albers’ color theory on artists in our exhibit "Drawing Dialogues: Selections from the Sol LeWitt Collection". In advance of this program, Curatorial Assistant Amber Moyles relates the affinities between Albers and LeWitt on our blog. "Unlike several of the artist’s in The Drawing Center’s "Drawing Dialogues: Selections from the Sol LeWitt Collection", including Eva Hesse and Ray Johnson, LeWitt was not a student of Albers’ at the Bauhaus, Black Mountain College, or Yale University.
