New artists in "Name It by Trying to Name It": Marlon de Azambuja, Kerry Downey, Patte Loper, Laura Morrison, Ronny Quevedo, Adam Shecter, Alfred Steiner, and Arturs Virtmanis. This video clip is a part of Patte Loper's "Power Exchange Unit", 2015. Salvaged material, insulating tape, vellum, Dura-lar, digital projector, laptop, 70” x 69” x 36” “Power Exchange Unit: is a self-contained multimedia installation/sculpture responding to the Drawing Center's 2014 Drawing Lessons exhibition. The unit is designed to entice audience members to draw from observation. The drawings are collected, scanned, and housed in a laptop which is then used to project the digitized images onto a screen suspended from the work. #OpenSessions #PatteLoper
