Artists in Residence | Ryan and Trevor Oakes Ryan and Trevor Oakes are using their unique drawing techniques to create a group "portrait" of visitors within our gallery space. As reservations for a portait sitting are closed, you will still be able to view the Oakes twins during the process. They are in the gallery from through Sunday. The project: "We plan to collage the many figures we have drawn over the past 8 weeks into this rendering of the room empty and with the Portraits exhibition on the back wall. Each figure will be cut out and positioned on the floor according to the distance they were from our concave easel while posing. The overall effect will be a room full of people." What you see in this photo is 1/3 of the rendering of the room. During this final week the Oakes are continuing to create portraits and finishing the room drawing, strip by strip.
