Throwback Thursday In 2008, "Greta Magnusson Grossman: Furniture and Lighting" was the first major U.S. exhibition to focus on the drawings of this talented Swedish designer. A two-time recipient of the Museum of Modern Art’s “Good Design” award, Grossman (1906-1999) remained an under-recognized, yet highly influential figure in the Southern California design movement of the 1950s and 60s. This exhibition presented recently discovered and never-before-seen industrial design drawings executed between 1948 and 1959 as well as archival photographs of Grossman’s residential buildings, interiors, and furnishings. #GretaMagnussonGrossman #Swedish #design #industrial #drawing #TBT Image: Greta Magnusson Grossman, Technical drawing for table lamp, Ralph O.Smith Company, c.1948
