“I belong at Protiviti because our core values have helped me embrace my own success story, which started at an orphanage, and foster care in South Africa. These values nudge me to remain truthful to myself and to be authentic regardless of life’s challenges. I disclosed my sexual orientation during an interview process in 2013 at Robert Half for a role at Protiviti. My coming out journey to my colleagues was a personal and life-changing moment in 2017 as a gay man and in 2022 as a disabled person. I was born with a hard-of-hearing disability due to a medical condition called Treacher Collins Syndrome. I use hearing aids and Protiviti supports me to address the personal challenges that I am facing because of my hearing loss. Communication challenges in a second language offer new opportunities in a time of innovation and inclusion.
