"Be the change you want to see. At the start of Black History Month, I always reflect on the progress that has been made. I frequently remember of my father, who also worked in business, and think “how far could he have gone if he lived in the society of today.” I am proud to work for a company that supported my journey to Managing Director, especially one that work so hard at driving equality and making people feel they can always be themselves. I recall speaking to a new female employee, who had asked to have a meeting with me. In it, she asks “Am I allowed to wear braids to work?”—the question took me back.
