An absolutely nuts stat 🫨 The above is a fairly incredible statement considering the bad days the county has had to endure in the last 50 years. I remember saying to a few lads on Hill 16 after Tipp battered us in the 09 semi final that we will never win an all Ireland in my lifetime, and thank Jaysus I was wrong. The game has been dominated by the “Big three” of Kilkenny, Tipp and Cork, so for Limerick do what they are doing and dominate the sport now is incredible and a credit to the players and people who have driven hurling in the county in the last ten years or so.
