THROWBACK (WEDNESDAY) THURSDAY (2007): Universal Studios Hollywood has been treating its theme park guests to a little Broadway-style fun during the hot summer season, with its "Wicked Wednesdays" series of performances, bringing various cast members from the Los Angeles sit-down production of Wicked, running at the nearby Pantages Theatre, to celebrate the smash-hit musical. The series kicked off with star Carol Kane ("Madame Morrible") hosting the event on June 27, giving fans a chance to hear exclusive performances from the musical, as well as an opportunity for autographs, face painting and Wicked-style karaoke. The Wizard himself, actor John Rubenstein took to the theme park's Blues Brothers Stage, discussing Wicked's initial start on the Universal lot and its progression into a worldwide phenomenon with productions on Broadway, Chicago, Los Angeles and other cities around the globe.
