My name is Lexie Terrell and I am starting my first year of college at Louisiana Tech in the fall. I will be a first generation college student. In this picture, I was interning with a hospital in Shreveport, LA. I was learning how surgeons use special microscopes to see into their patients stomach. I want to become a doctor in the medical field one day, but college is expensive. I am paying for college by myself, and, without TOPS funding, I will struggle to pay all of my college expenses.
