Want proof that dreams can come true? In 1999, I was standing on this same White House lawn as I watched President Clinton honor the Women’s World Cup Team fresh off of their historic World Championship. Remember Brandi Chastain nailing the winning PK, ripping off her shirt and flexing those beautiful muscles?! It was that exact moment, on that lawn, where I knew, without a doubt in my mind, that I wanted to play for my country. 24 years, 9 international caps, and a long global pro soccer career later, I found myself back where my dream began. This time, with my wife and newborn child -- getting to show my daughter, Luna, what greatness can look like. Now, it is her turn to write her own story. To dream big.
