I remember when I first started doing weddings and my parents thought it was a good way for me to be involved with the culture since I loved to rebel as a teenager and pretend I wasn’t Desi😂 My dad would ask me to hire him to watch my camera bags so he could low key get the free desi wedding food 😂 and my mom would think it was more of a hobby- not so much a career that I could really support myself with. Fast forward 15 years and I’ve turned this hobby into something pretty damn special I couldn’t be more proud of. To build something from absolutely nothing takes a lot of courage, hard work and investment (into my education, gear, hiring mentors, etc) but it’s always worth it when I remember young Sara would dream about being in the position I am today!
