As someone who has worked in Social Media for 16 years, I think this one change could transform social media completely. “Coward Accounts” are no longer permitted to play. If people are not brave enough to leave negative or hateful comments with their own name and face, or in some cases hiding from a private account, they haven’t earned the right to engage. Those of us who come forward with vulnerable voices that are represented with our names and faces do not have time for the cowardly. We are IN the arena. We’ve earned our place here. Take your hatred, fear and toxicity and create an public persona. Then you can come back with the real players. Those hiding behind their keyboards because they are not strong in the real world are no longer invited.
