Yum! We had to give some serious props to those of you who have been telling us to head over to the Mall area to try out Taqueria La Flama. You were right, when you’re looking for great mom and pop style Mexican food, this is the place. Homemade tortillas, great salsa bar, and authentic items you’re probably not going to see on most menus. The Mulitas are especially good - Fried tortillas filled with your choice of meat and fresh items - like a Mexican sandwich, and you can get one for three bucks. Because we felt like being adventurous, we ordered tacos with “Tripa” - Which is normally not a meat we would choose,- but the reviews kept saying we should try it. Apparently their secret is boiling the meat before they grill, which gives it a great consistency. Seriously, try it! Also make sure to get the Taquitos plate and the Camarones a la Diablo. - Super pumped to find out about this place.
