During Earth Week they turned off classroom lights to conserve electricity, packed snacks in reusable containers, cleaned up litter in Central Park, and made individual pledges to help the planet. And Fourth graders kicked off their unit on Earth’s finite resources with a visit to the Newton Wastewater Treatment Plant, to learn about watersheds and water pollution.
