Next weekend is the Ballet Idaho's Winter Repertory!!!! We are always excited for the performances from balletidaho, but this sounds like it will be an absolutely extraordinary event. We've linked a recent article by the Idaho statesman in our profile that sums it up beautifully. One element we are particularly anticipating is "The Monster and the Gift". "It's a contemporary work with a modern theme, this challenging and emotional ballet is brand new, created especially for Ballet Idaho dancers this season. It is the story of an Artist's dedication to her work and the price of talent, the isolation and loneliness of genius, with a score composed by Boise musicians." - This is the first time in memory that Ballet Idaho has commissioned original music for a new ballet.
