A very special day for us, broderspastabar, and terzompls is quickly approaching! March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) and is a global awareness day that the United Nations has officially observed since 2012. The date for WDSD (the 21st day of the 3rd month) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Broders' Restaurants has committed to donating 10% of all company revenues on Tuesday, 3/21, to be split evenly and donated to three organizations: downsyndromemn, jacksbasket, and gigisplayhouse_twincities! We're excited to share more about these groups and introduce you to Kit - our favorite spaghetti and meatball-loving seven-year-old later this week!
