The challenge: design and build a #rollercoaster that features several thrill elements. That was the task facing teams of fourth and fifth-grade students from each elementary school in Newport News Public Schools who participated in the latest Engineering Design Challenge, Coastal Thrill, on October 23 at Newsome Park Elementary School. The challenge was presented by buschgardensva. The #Dutrow Elementary School team earned first place, the team from #DeerPark Elementary earned second place and #Richneck Elementary School’s team earned third place.
