The week that encompasses the Portland Track Festival and the Stumptown Twilight is called
#trackweek in Portland.
Arguably no one had a better Track Week than Sadi Henderson. Coming into PTF, runlittlewing’s 800m extraordinaire carried a 2:04.52 season best to the line. In a hotly contested heat 2 of the oiselle 800m, she flew to the tape finishing second in 2:01.23- a new PR and Olympic Trials qualifier.
In heat 2 of the oiselle 1500m at the Stumptown Twilight, she exploded into the final lap and drove home in 4:10.26, taking the win with a decisive 63.9 final lap and lowering her PR from 4:23.
Entering the week, her team had confidence in her ability to do something great. With an incredible support system, she delivered performances above and beyond expectations. The ability to perform when the stakes are high impresses the heck out of all of us in the Landia and Sadi showed us the power of her focus, determination and skill over 2 magical races in the Electric Forest.
