Daniel Menard’s heart shattered as he thought about the children slowly dying from lead poisoning in Flint, Michigan. He knew he had to do something when the face of a once bubbly 2-year-old girl who was sickened with the toxic substance flashed across his TV. After working with kids for the past five summers, Daniel motivated his fellow Quinnipiac NAACP members to raise money to supply the community with clean drinking water.  The finance major is using the popularity of Valentine’s Day to raffle gift baskets to raise money for the residents of Flint. “It’s the little things that motivate me,” he said in between selling tickets. “It’s emotionally crippling to see that others don’t have the right to even bathe in clean water.” Stop by the Carl Hansen Student Center before 3 today to help Daniel make a difference. #QuToday #BobcatNation
