Our No. 1-ranked men's ice hockey team's abilities have been recognized across the pond. The team, hot off of a 6-3 victory over ECAC rival Colgate, has been invited to compete in the Friendship Four Tournament in Belfast, Ireland Nov. 25-26. "This is another great opportunity for Quinnipiac University, our program and for college hockey," head coach Rand Pecknold said. "Our President, John Lahey has made incredible strides in expanding Quinnipiac's reach in Ireland and also bringing Irish culture to Hamden with Ireland's Great Hunger Museum." When not on the ice, the Bobcats will take part in cultural experiences, including visiting with youth groups and exploring the deep history of Northern Ireland.
