In the series opener, Saile tied the 2017 C-USA single-game strikeout total by fanning 14 in a one-hit shutout. The rookie allowed one hit batter in the first and an infield bunt single in the fourth, but a caught stealing allowed her to face just one more than the minimum. In game two, Saile was brought in relief with the bases loaded and one out in the sixth inning. She proceeded to strike out the next two batters and tossed a scoreless seventh for her third save of the season. On Sunday, a pair of errors allowed two unearned runs, but Saile struck out nine in the complete-game triumph.
