❓Did you know that eating well while on your cycle will help balance out hormones?
🥬 In Module 9 of the Nutrition Course, Jennifer discusses how to eat for your cycle and what happens when you lose your period.
⚡️ Relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S) is the result of insufficient caloric intake and/or excessive energy expenditure. This can cause you to lose your period which can put you at risk for decreased immune function, slower recovery, and decreased cardiovascular health.
👩⚕️ If you are losing your period, talk to a health care provider about amenorrhea and ways to keep your body strong as a female athlete.
