Recently the running community has been having an important and necessary conversation about female athletes health. We wanted to extend our support to those who have struggled and also to commend those who have inspired this open dialogue. At NJNY, we aim to represent healthy lifestyles on and off the track. We recognize that the choices we make about how we fuel our bodies matter and it is imperative that we acknowledge the role mental health plays in one’s overall success. We preach the mantra that a happy runner is a fast runner. Cooking meals and trying new foods together has become a primary part of our team’s social outings. Eating can be one of the most fun parts of training because the options are endless and you get to share the results with the ones you love.
