People attend the Everest Race Day at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, Australia. The race day is the largest event to be held since the lifting of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in NSW on October 11. The Australian Turf Club was granted a special exemption to have 10,000 spectators attend, twice the capacity permitted to attend major events under the NSW roadmap and the state's double vaccination target of 70 percent.
