Follow along as we review the year in news, sport, entertainment and creative.⁠⠀⁠ ⁠ Protests in Chile have reached its 50th day, triggered by demonstrations against subway fare increase which turned into civil unrest and awakened a fight against social inequality. Our photographers Marcelo Hernández and Claudio Santana share their experience covering the events. ⁠ “It’s something new because it’s taking place in your own home, the personal cost is high, we are all in the same situation, which makes it more intense”, says Claudio. ⁠ “As a photographer it is difficult, but it’s also a commitment to society and a great responsibility to tell the truth.
