“I love when the unexpected happens when capturing sport. Often an extra element comes into play and adds another dimension to a photograph to make it interesting and unique. I spent some time setting up a remote camera behind a jump in a slopestyle event at the Winter Games held in New Zealand in 2009. It was a stunning ‘Bluebird’ day, with perfect alpine conditions. This created a visually spectacular frame as he rotated across the sky. The snow looks like a cosmic galaxy or heavy snow blizzard…a surreal image as it never snows when the sky is blue. I have set up plenty of remote cameras near jumps since and nothing like this has ever happened again. - cjspencois | August 23, 2009 | #PhotographerTakeover [3 of 4] __ Getty Images photographer Cameron Spencer is taking over gettyimages today for a closer look at some of his favourite images.
