" This image of Gael Monfils is my favourite sports image I have ever taken. I have spent six whole months of my life pointing a lens at the vibrant blue courts of the Australian Open Grand Slam (13 slams). In 2016 during the fourth round, the unbelievable happened. Monfils dived into the air to save a point on the baseline. I had never seen this happen in my career on a baseline or on hardcourt. It is rare when capturing sport that every element comes together for the perfect image. The light, the position I was in, the lens I was on, the direction that Monfils jumped, the colour of his shirt, the shadow. When it happened, I couldn’t believe it happened.
