“I love to develop my news photographer side through the sports world. In 2013, I spent two weeks documenting the daily life of two teams of Calcio Storico Fiorentino. This is a primitive form of football, originating in the XVI century in Florence. It is played by the toughest guys I have ever met. It is a 50 minutes match where they can fight using tactics such a punching, elbowing and all martial arts techniques, but kicks to the head are forbidden, as are fights of two or more against one. It was really hard to build their trust and get their permission to document their lives prior to the tournament. This is Antonio after his first time playing Calcio Storico.
