"I took this shot of #ChrisFroome and the other riders from the back of one of the photographer motorcycles we ride each day, as they were making their way up the Lacets du Grand Colombier during stage fifteen of the 2016 Le #TourdeFrance. A lot of pre-planning goes into a photo like this, looking at the route map, checking it out on google maps, trying to find the best spot to shoot on the last climb of the day. But in cycling, it’s a one way street and you can’t turn around if you pass a better spot. You have to make a decision and stick with it. Photographing cycling, just like riding in the #race, takes a lot of preparation, and dedication, and sometimes you need a little bit of good fortune.
