Our relationship with food has changed. And so have the images. Once they were predominantly functional – accompanying a recipe or a menu. Now we have food abundance – with images popping up unaccompanied throughout our daily lives.
With food overload comes guilt. Not necessarily because we’re vaguely aware that 1 in 7 people go hungry every day, even though enough food is produced worldwide for everyone to have an adequate diet. More likely, it’s because we know it’s more than we personally need.
