Umbrellas are good selfie sticks šŸ–šŸ¤³šŸ» Ok to repost with credit: karenxchengĀ šŸ” You don’t need any special video editing knowledge to do this shot. There’s no After Effects or masking or anything. Just tape your camera to the edge of an umbrella, and when it passes by your head, try to get it as close to your head as possible without touching it (this will help make for the smoothest transition possible) Then just cut to the next clip when it passes by your head. The camera I’m using is insta360 Go, which is very light and comes with a mount that you can stick to the umbrella (but I’d recommend reinforcing with some duct tape). For this shot, since much of the sky and surroundings are covered by the umbrella, it’s good to get grounds that look different from each other in order to make the transition feel like you’re changing worlds (which is why I have sand, grass, and water, all visually different).
