Trying out the new augmented reality filters in this video I made with Spectacles 3. It has two cameras that shoot 3D, which it uses to detect the world around you to create these cool effects. That’s how it knows how to place objects behind buildings and people. I had the opportunity to collab with the talented clarabacou, official lens creator for Snap, who made the butterfly lens 🦋 The key to getting a good first-person perspective shot is to incorporate as much of your own hands as possible, because that really sells that it’s a POV shot. I timed these lens effects “activating” with my hand movements by exporting out two versions of each clip: with and without the lens, and then stitched them together in Premiere.
