Yoel Alperin, OXOS’ Clinical Applications Engineer, went back to his alma mater to lead a career path discussion with ~150 biomedical engineering (BME) students.
Yoel talked about his undergraduate journey in the BME program & what led him to complete his Master’s in Biomedical Innovation and Development. His work experience throughout and after Georgia Tech includes roles with a combination of research, project management, and hands-on engineering.
His career-defining moment: Yoel witnessed a life being saved by a medical device while shadowing a physician. This was his “aha moment”, driving his passion for developing technology that truly makes a difference.
Now at OXOS, Yoel feels he’s doing just that by making X-rays accessible and efficient. He mentioned his experience at OXOS saying, “We aim to fully revolutionize a really important part of our healthcare system — X-ray”.🧠
