#ThisIsGrassroots: “My team has been my support system through the worst experience of my life.  A few months ago after practice I went home to take a nap and woke up to this scent and started to see all this black smoke come through my window. A few moments later, there’s fire everywhere. My grandma and my two little cousins were in the house with me but I couldn't find them, I was screaming for them but I couldn't leave my room because of the fire. I can't even remember the last thing I said to my grandma. In the movies people have time to think about everything. 'He should do this, he should do that.' But when it's blazing hot and you have flames destroying everything, you have to make a move quick. There were two windows that were close to being taken by the fire but I saw two people outside telling me to jump. I told them I couldn't do it.
