#ThisIsGrassroots: “My college basketball career was cut short after multiple knee injuries. After getting my college degree I got a job in the corporate world but still wanted to be around the game to make an impact on young men's lives. I got involved in coaching grassroots basketball with the KC Run GMC program and had the opportunity to coach with USA basketball. My mission was to make sure that young men know that getting the opportunity to get your education paid for and taking care of your business off the court can open up many doors in your life. The ball will stop bouncing at some point and it's important to make sure you take full advantage of everything it can teach you along the way.
