#ThisIsGrassroots: "Coming up through high school people told me I'd never be a top recruit. I was a guard then but shot up quickly to 6'9. I was a little uncoordinated at first and coaches were really doubting my abilities sticking me in the post. I knew I had the ability to play on the wing but wasn't being given the chance. When I came to NE6 they gave me a spot on the wing and stuck by me as I developed into the player I am. My recruitment picked up and a lot of teams tried to get me to play with them but I wanted to stay with the program that believed in me from the start.
