“October is LGBTQ History Month🏳️‍🌈 and the Renaissance Reception is an opportunity to honor students who play a critical role in Howard’s history,” said Gaëlle Ivory, assistant director of intercultural affairs and chair of the LGBTA Renaissance Reception. “The reception is in part celebratory and also serves as a call to inclusive action. Donations to the Lavender Fund allow us to continue supporting LGBTQ+ student scholarships and rewarding students for demanding inclusion and justice.” The purpose of the reception is for the Howard University community to support Howard's LGBTQ+ student community by contributing to the Lavender Fund.
