Howard University is such a dominant part of my professional and personal identities that it’s hard to imagine who I’d be if I had chosen another university. My closest friends, today - were once classmates at Howard. Many of my current professional contacts and sources can be traced back to relationships I cultivated at our alma mater. Beyond associations – the rich, global context I acquired at Howard is what I treasure most. It's been the common thread from my years in small-town television through my current role as a correspondent and anchor for CNN. It's been an invaluable element of my career.
