Howard University has prepared me beyond the scope of leadership. This summer, I was appointed Principal of Southbridge High School. I am charged with leading the turnaround one of the lowest performing high schools in the state of Massachussetts. I am the first African-American Principal of SHS. As a three time Howard graduate, I am equipped to make a positive impact in any educational setting. In a very short time, I have been able to solidify partnerships with public and private businesses that will change the trajectory of many students' lives. For example, I partnered with the local airport and flight school to ensure our students earn college credits while learning how to fly.
