📷: santagati This moment was the culmination of a lot of struggle. I got to #MyHowardU on foot; my mom's old Buick had conked out after a long drive up from the bottom of SC at the intersection of 7th & G NW. After we and a friendly stranger helped us push it off to the side I walked from there to campus partially terrified - this was my first day in "the big city." So with that and many more travails, on this day, this day I stood on the steps of Fine Arts with my new degree and cried like a baby.
