Headed to nationals! 🎉 🙌 Ten civil engineering students, accompanied by Dr. Taqsim Husnain, attended the 2024 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Mid-America Student Symposium and participated in the regional student steel bridge competition. Jewell's team won 2nd place in the overall competition, beating University of Missouri, University of Kansas, Kansas State, St. Louis University and other regional colleges. They also won 2nd place in construction speed and economy. Their performance qualified them for the national competition at Louisiana Tech on May 31 to compete with the best colleges from all states. #JewellDoesEngineering
