Jake Bartecki is a Chicago native whose decision to come to Nebraska for college was a no brainer. He wanted to be at a Big Ten school and already knew of CoJMC’s awesome reputation for his major. He also wanted to be part of the UNL Club Golf team who are pretty well known. Now a junior, his love for sports broadcasting has only grown, and he’s an Exec member for the UNL Club Golf team. Jake's first job was with the KRNU Sports Staff, Professor Rick Alloway offered him the job and he’s thankful to have met both Rick, as well as, Professor John Shrader who leads the KRNU Sports channel. “They’ve critiqued me in a way that I understand and have pushed me to become a better broadcaster. They deserve SO much credit for what I’ve learned at CoJMC.” And this summer Jake got to be an intern for radio station 93.7 The Ticket.
