Our #CoJMCAlumni spotlight this week is Frances Hayes, a Lincoln native. . Frances, a 2007 journalism grad and 2013 master’s grad, is a communications specialist at the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute at UNL. . Frances said her time at the CoJMC led to beneficial networking opportunities. . “Getting an education at the CoJMC surrounded me with people who have had very successful careers in the industry and were always willing to help,” she said. . Frances said the most important thing she learned at the CoJMC was how to be a good writer. . “I’ve been thankful for those writing and editing classes from the CoJMC,” she said. “They weren’t the ones I was most excited about at the time, but I have no doubt they’ve helped me land positions, including most recently, a side gig as a ghostwriter for a national blog.”
