Our #CoJMCAlumni spotlight this week is LaSharah Bunting, an Omaha native. LaSharah, a 2000 journalism grad, is the director of journalism at the Knight Foundation in Miami. . LaSharah said she appreciated the challenging and collaborative environment at the CoJMC that prepared her for a successful career. . “I had one awesome professor, Dick Thien, whose support, guidance and encouragement led me to where I am today,” she said. “He used to tell me: ‘I have a feeling you’re going to do some great things.’ That always stuck with me, and it made me believe anything was possible.” . LaSharah said the most important thing she learned during her time at the college was to stay disciplined about your craft and consistently put in the hard work.
