Read more… For sports that require quick lateral movements, stops, turns, and changes in direction, the single leg step-down is a game-changer. ⁠ The step-down vs. the step-up allows for more control of the entire range of motion (i.e. not helping the start with the other leg).⁠ ⁠ By targeting key muscle groups such as the hip abductors and adductors, these step-downs improve stability, balance, and single-leg strength.⁠ What does that look like on the ice?
