From today, we’re extending superannuation payments for primary carers in Australia, to cover any unpaid periods of parental leave, during the first 12 months of a child’s life. Why? Because research shows that 88% of people who take parental leave as a primary carer are women and on average, women retire with around half the superannuation savings of men.
