By 2030, Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) could deliver up to 11 billion tons of greenhouse gas mitigation, a substantial contribution towards meeting the targets of the Paris Agreement.
NCS are not a substitute for reducing fossil fuel emissions, but they are a necessary supplement that can also deliver important benefits to biodiversity. A concerted effort is needed across public, private, and financial sectors to scale NCS to their full potential.
Addressing the current funding and policy gaps will involve a mix of policy reforms, smart incentives, and effective market structures.
Find out more in the report by The Nature Conservancy and the UBS Sustainability and Impact Institute, which outlines the benefits of NCS, the barriers to scaling them, and key actions to overcome these barriers by clicking the link in our bio > UBS.
